What is Educational Therapy?
Educational therapy is a specialized form of support that combines educational and therapeutic approaches to help students with learning challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, and executive functioning difficulties. Unlike traditional tutoring, which focuses on subject-specific instruction, educational therapy targets the underlying learning processes, equipping students with strategies for reading, writing, math, organization, and self-advocacy.
As an educational therapist, I tailor interventions to each student’s unique needs, balancing their strengths and challenges to support both academic growth and self-confidence. My goal is to improve students’ attitudes and behaviors toward learning by teaching compensatory strategies that foster independence and long-term success in school and beyond. Through individualized support and collaboration with families, I strive to make learning an empowering and meaningful experience for every student.
